The rumor was initially spread by economist Heriyanto Irawan from Verdhana Sekuritas, who claimed to have discussed the matter with Prabowo’s team.
Hasan emphasized that the main focus of President-elect Prabowo Subianto and Vice President-elect Gibran Rakabuming Raka is to ensure that the meals provided meet nutritional standards set by nutrition experts. He mentioned that various ideas and suggestions regarding the cost per child are being reviewed by the Expert Council, and no specific figure has been decided yet.
Hasan also explained that different regions in Indonesia have diverse sources of nutrition, leading to varying local menus. The fulfillment of nutritional standards will be adjusted based on the availability of ingredients and local menus in each area.
Gibran, who also addressed the issue, urged the public not to report on uncertain matters and to wait for confirmation. He mentioned that the ongoing trials for nutritious free meals are currently using a budget of IDR 15,000 per person.
