Agus Joyo Sutono, a government teacher at SD Dua Jati Kulon in Jati District, Kudus Regency, has been teaching for over twenty years. He recently shared his appreciation for the improvements in the distribution of the Teacher Professional Allowance (TPG) under President Prabowo Subianto’s administration. Agus mentioned that the disbursement of TPG has become more efficient, accurate, and transparent, making it easier for teachers nationwide to receive their allowances.
Starting his teaching career in 2003 and officially becoming a PPPK teacher in 2023, Agus views this professional journey as a pivotal moment in terms of recognition and motivation to enhance his teaching standards. Although he has been receiving TPG since 2011, it was only this year that he observed a significant enhancement in the distribution process. Agus acknowledged the new direct central transfers to teachers’ accounts for streamlining the process and improving efficiency.
For Agus, TPG signifies more than just a financial incentive; it symbolizes trust and state support towards the teaching profession. He praised the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) and President Prabowo for the innovative policy that has simplified the distribution mechanism. Besides supporting his family, Agus also utilizes the TPG for his educational pursuits, working towards a bachelor’s degree in primary school education.
Beyond personal use, Agus extends solidarity by assisting non-civil servant teaching staff and contributing to school activities with part of his TPG allowance. He advocates for the new policy to become a lasting standard in supporting the welfare and professional growth of dedicated teachers. Agus looks forward to the continuous benefits of TPG for teachers, contributing to the advancement of a better Indonesia.
