President Prabowo Subianto highlighted the success of the Makan Bergizi Gratis (Free Nutritious Meal, MBG) program during the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly in Jakarta. Launched eight months ago, the program has reached 20 million beneficiaries, including school-age children, pregnant women, and breastfeeding mothers. The establishment of 5,800 Nutritional Service Units (SPPG) across 38 provinces has not only improved school attendance and student performance but also created 290,000 jobs and engaged one million farmers, fishers, livestock breeders, and small and medium-sized enterprises. President Prabowo emphasized that MBG is more than just a social welfare initiative, but a strategic investment in cultivating a healthy and productive generation. The program’s success has surpassed the achievements of other nations, as highlighted by the rapid progress within a short period. The Annual Session was attended by leaders of state institutions, members of the DPR and DPD, and the entire cabinet.
