Indonesia’s Defense Minister and President-elect Prabowo Subianto graced the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympics, which took place on the Seine River in Paris on July 26, 2024. Despite the rainy weather, Prabowo stood up and enthusiastically waved to the Indonesian contingent as they paraded by. The Indonesian team, led by Chef de Mission Anindya Bakrie and flag bearer Maryam March Maharani, looked stylish in outfits designed by Didit Hediprasetyo. The parade, featuring 85 boats, showcased the athletes against the backdrop of iconic Paris landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. The Paris 2024 Olympics will run from July 26 to August 11, 2024.
