President of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, expressed his excitement about Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva’s initiative to bring hundreds of Brazilian entrepreneurs to Indonesia. This positive statement was made after a productive bilateral meeting between the two leaders at Palácio do Planalto in Brasília on Wednesday. Highlighting the common interests and potential for economic growth that Indonesia and Brazil share, Prabowo emphasized the importance of turning cooperation agreements into tangible actions rather than just written documents. He also spoke highly of Brazil’s advancements in agriculture and bioenergy, expressing Indonesia’s eagerness to learn from Brazil’s success in these fields. Moreover, Prabowo appreciated President Lula’s support for Indonesia’s plans to send technical teams to study Brazil’s innovations and agricultural technologies. Aside from the bilateral meeting, Prabowo visited Brazil to attend the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where President Lula is expected to return the visit to Indonesia in October. In closing, Prabowo mentioned preparations for a grand celebration in Jakarta for President Lula’s upcoming 80th birthday in October.
