Andra Farizki Ramdhani, a 10th-grade student at People’s High School (SRMA 10) in South Jakarta, defies the odds as a single mother’s child. Despite financial challenges, the People’s School initiative, spearheaded by President Prabowo Subianto, has given Andra new opportunities for quality education. Andra expressed his gratitude towards President Prabowo for the initiative, stating that it motivates children to learn, keeps them engaged, and contributes to the advancement of Indonesia.
Moving away from his family to attend the boarding school at SRMA 10 has been a mix of challenges and rewards for Andra. He misses his family but cherishes the lively atmosphere and friendship at the school. His daily routine includes early mornings, prayers, exercise, classes, and evening calls to his mother. Despite the monotonous routine, Andra finds joy in the camaraderie with his friends at the school, making small moments feel like family.
The facilities at SRMA 10 have impressed Andra, providing a comfortable and focused learning environment. Engaging in extracurricular activities such as judo and joining various school clubs has further enriched his experience at the school. With a dream of becoming a judo athlete and pursuing higher education at Defense University (Unhan), Andra credits his mother for always supporting and guiding him towards his aspirations.
Andra values the opportunity to study at the People’s School without financial constraints. The school’s accessibility and absence of additional costs like uniforms make it a beacon of hope for underprivileged students eager to learn. With a strong resolve and his mother’s unwavering prayers, Andra believes that his dreams are now within reach through the transformative experiences offered by the People’s School.
