President Prabowo greeted General Fenton with a military salute and a warm exchange ensued, highlighting their mutual respect.
General Fenton bestowed upon President Prabowo the USSOCOM Honor Medal, recognizing his outstanding leadership and dedication to strengthening U.S.–Indonesia defense relations, particularly in special operations. General Fenton commended President Subianto for his visionary leadership in bolstering bilateral defense ties and international collaboration, especially with the United States, to foster joint efforts in counterterrorism, strategic cooperation, and regional security.
Alongside President Prabowo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of Defense Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya were also present during the meeting. General Fenton presented the USSOCOM Honor Medal to President Prabowo, symbolizing their shared commitment to advancing defense cooperation and mutual respect between Indonesia and the United States.
