The morning atmosphere at Suparlan Airfield, Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, on a warm Sunday was filled with enthusiasm as President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, arrived to attend the Operational and Military Honors Parade. The elementary school children greeted him with wide smiles and eager waves, calling out his name excitedly while waving red-and-white flags. Not only the students, but also the residents lined up along the edge of the field cheered for him with beaming smiles and supportive posters.
Prabowo’s agenda for the day included conferring honorary ranks, installing the Deputy Commander of the TNI, presenting awards, and delivering directives to unit commanders from battalion level and above across all branches of the armed forces. The event also marked the inauguration and formalization of new military units for the Army, Navy, and Air Force, aiming to strengthen the nation’s defense posture.
The grand event was set to feature thrilling military displays, including performances with Flying Inflatable Boats, fighter jet flypasses, tactical martial arts demonstrations, urban assault operations, airborne and combined operations, and more. This event highlighted President Prabowo’s vision to build a self-reliant, technologically advanced, and operationally superior defense force.
