Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin (AMIN), arrived at the KPU RI office in Central Jakarta on Wednesday (24/4/2024). In relation to this, political observer Kunto Adi Wibowo stated that their presence symbolizes the legitimacy of the results of the 2024 election.
“Their presence, as contestants, also gives legitimacy,” said Kunto as quoted from Antara.
He also saw the presence of Anies and Cak Imin at the inauguration of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka as the elected president and vice president as a sign that the disputes of the 2024 Presidential Election were over.
“The legitimacy of the election results is necessary for the government to function properly and all disputes and disagreements have been resolved yesterday,” said Kunto.
Therefore, he continued, all contestants must acknowledge that the election process has ended, especially after the KPU declared the elected presidential and vice-presidential candidates. Despite any shortcomings or excesses, all parties must be able to accept it.
Earlier, the Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar, also known as Cak Imin, met with the president-elect for 2024-2029, Prabowo Subianto, at the PKB DPP office in Jakarta on Wednesday (24/4/2024). The former running mate of candidate number 01 hoped that PKB and Gerindra would continue to work together in the Prabowo-Gibran government. Cak Imin stated that both parties have long worked together in the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and Ma’ruf Amin.
“PKB and Gerindra, as parties that have worked together in parliament and in the executive branch, want to continue working together more productively. Especially since Mr. Prabowo as the elected president will face various challenging development agendas,” said Cak Imin after meeting Prabowo.
